He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” -Psalm 46:10 (NIV)
Many people often think about being still in the manner of doing nothing. However, there are other aspects of being still such as: anyhow, in spite of, nonetheless, and notwithstanding the obstacles. Sometimes being still means: though they hurt me I will forgive them ANYHOW. In SPITE OF the cost I will STILL make the investment. I didn't get the results I wanted NONETHELESS, I am STILL hopeful. NOTWITHSTANDING the obstacles, I will STILL move forward.
When things don't look the way we anticipated it's tempting to jump to something else. But God may be telling you to be STILL. Still do it. Still love them. Still forgive. Still go. Still hope. Still pray. Still trust Him. There is power in being still. Sometimes we need to be still (consistent) and watch the results come. Be STILL and KNOW (anyhow, in spite of, nonetheless, notwithstanding the obstacles) that He is God. We are still moving forward!
